What are some creative ways to recycle or reuse items around the home? IE: milk jugs,tires,old carpet?
A friend already suggested one thing I could do with the old carpet by making scratching post for our cats. Can you think of anything else?

tires can be plant pots… just stick them outside where u want them (on the dirt) and fill it with potting soil or dirt and place a plant.. or an ivy that grows fast to cover up the tire.
milk jugs can be used to water plants…or be containers for food just cut off the top and u can put plastic wrap over the top..
carpet … yeah a scratching post if u want or make it for an outside rug or door mat for the garage…
im just thinking of random things that come to my head, but ive never tried these..but u can if u want lol

how old is the carpet? what is old to you is new to someone else, if its still in ok condition, let someone collect it for free to use in their home. one persons waste is another persons treasure after all!
do you have a big tree in the garden? perhaps you could make a swing out of the tyre cause thays pretty cool… otherwise, just advertise, you never know who might want what!!

for milk jugs u can use it as a watering can pooper scooper and an easter/halloween bucket thingy
