Spilled water on a faux silk rug. Help!?

I used a hair dryer to dry the carpet, but now the fibers are bunched together. How do I get this spot nice and soft like the rest of carpet?

What you should do is go buy brand new soft-bristled cleaning brush at your hardware store, and brush the rug so the nap is all going in one direction. This way, it won’t look matted. You may need to slightly dampen the rug before you brush it.

Wet it again and use the hair dryer on low and not to close, and slowly dry. Or take it to a drycleaners.
