Should I scotch guard 13 year old carpet?
For carpet that is 13 years old is it really worth using scotch guard. I have always been told on on new carpet. If used on older carpet you are just scotch guarding in the existing stains.

Yes, unless its perfectly clean, it will seal in any stains and dirt & dust.
Most new carpet is synthetic and doesn’t require additional treatments, just regular vacuuming and professional cleaning like every other year.
unless it was outrageously expensive carpet really only lasts about 10 years
