Wool can be spot cleaned, but not washed. Cotton can be washed, but an all cotton rug gets misshapen & tends to bunch, move, & drive you crazy, even with a rug grip. I would seek out a polypropylene rug that is durable & stain resistent. Any commercial rug cleaner like Resolve cleans it up beautifully. I’ve had one for years & recommend them in high traffic areas or homes with pets. These rugs can be found at Home Depot, Penneys, Lowe’s.
