My rugs bleeds on the carpet….?

I have a handmade camel hair rug from Kazakhstan that is mostly red.
It is probably 6x10, a big rug and it weighs a lot.; obviously not washable. The only problem is I can't use it because in my new house has off white carpet, and the rug dyes bleed onto carpet, mainly in high traffic area over the rug. It leaves red dye on carpet. Is there anything I can put on the backside of the rug or anything I can put under it to keep it from staining my carpet? Are there any products out there for something like this?

There are a lot of things you can put under your carpet. The best idea is to call a good carpet place and ask for advice. They will know what is out there that will work the best for your situation. Good luck.

yea i think there is this plastic thing you can put under your rug…I don’t know what its called…..sorry!
But its like what you put on the back of the rug when you have hard wood floors to keep it from moving. If your not looking to spend money like that just get some plastic and put under it…i suggest you change the plastic every so often.

    hope this helps.
