my daisies got a little smashed, so i cut them back, perhaps too far. now they seem to be dead. is there hope?
they were probably around 2 ft tall and i snipped them down 5 or 6 inches. im quite sure im not over watering them and they were doing fine before they got a little smashed (a rug i was air drying fell off the fence on to them)

They might bloom again this year. Look for flower bud start forming in about 2 weeks. At least they are perennials and they will come back next year.
You can add a few annuals this year to replace the daisies color: http://www.ehow.com/how_4407772_that-summer-burnout-perennial-garden.html

Try to feed them and then just water them a bit everyday after the sun goes down or early in the morning. Maybe it is waiting for the new growth to just appear. do not give up hope as daisies are VERY hardy!

Oh if only that were enough to get rid of them… I’ve been trying for four years to get them out of my herb garden. Daisies have a deep, long tap root, and so long as the root thrives, there will be plants popping up all along it’s growth area. No worries, they will come back, no doubt!
