For our rug in the hallway we have a rubberized mesh underneath it that is made to stop it from moving. Most carpet stores sell them.
i may have expertise here. anyways my dad cleans carpet so in order to create some "friction." now get something that creates friction, such as rubber pads, and put is the 4 corners, about 2 feet in.
that should stop your carpet from creeping.
