How do you get wax out of a wool woven rug?





i have an authentic Native American wool rug. its very pretty and candle wax got on it. any special way to remove it without hurting it?? anything involving water will hurt it. water causes shrinking spots.

    Get an old t-shirt and an iron. Place the t-shirt on the wax and use the iron on top of it. The wax will melt and be absorbed by the shirt.

    Take some paper towels. Get your iron hot and press down on a paper towel on the wax. It should melt and the towel should absorb it.

    Good question. I would reccommend placing a piece of paper on the area with the wax on it. Run an iron over the paper, causing the wax to melt and stick to the paper. Continue doing this until the wax is completely out of the rug.
