How do I get baby shampoo out of my rug?

My niece dumped a whole bottle of Johnson's Baby Shampoo onto my area rug. It's a large rug, so it won't fit in the washing machine. How can I get all of it out?

Take it outside and with a garden hose rinse till the suds stop then set it flat on what ever you can find. like long 2×4s and hope the day is clear and a breeze of less than 10mph. Then turn it over about every 2 hours till it is completely dry.

Since it is so big i would take it outside and spray it with a hose. Like any other shampoo, all it needs is a good rinsing and it will come out.
