How can you cure rabbit eating disorders?
My rabbit was fine the first two days I got it, but now on the third day, it refuses to eat the food(carrots, bok choy, cabbage, lettuce, etc.) and instead appears to mope around and chew/eat random things like rug, leaves, etc. What should i do????

If he won’t eat fresh, fragrant Timothy Hay, take him to the vet. Not eating is a sign of a serious digestive upset which is often life threatening. Is he actually EATING the rug and leaves, or just chewing on them? He needs to eat something, and poop pretty often. If he’s not, he needs the vet.
Edit: Ugh, bunny diet advice aside (one person so far is right, the others are way off) not eating is a serious thing for a bunny. Pellets are NOT good as the majority of the diet, but should be included. Timothy/grass hay should be most of the diet. And vegetables are so important, not junk; but they shouldn’t be all he eats. And yeah, sometimes eating too much veggies (especially starchy ones) without enough fiber can make them sick. But if he hasn’t been getting fiber, he could have a blockage which causes him not to eat or poop, and eventually to die.

Those things are only a small percentage of a rabbits diet. The rabbit is pretty smart. He knows better than to eat too much of those things because it will make him sick. The main bulk of a rabbits diet is Timothy Hay- you buy it at the pet store. They also need to eat rabbit food pellets everyday. Better go get these things quick! he is starving.

sometimes rabbits do tend to get bored if they are eating the same thing over and over again. Plus, you are only giving him "bunny junk" to eat. He should be eating pellets. Try and buy some and see what happens. He could also be bored from the lack of bunny toys and instead is finding his own form of entertainment. Try and buy him a chew toy for rabbits in mind. I’m sure if you make these few changes - he will be back to normal.

If your rabbit was OK the first two days you had, it, I’d call where you got the rabbit and ask what they had been feeding it. Odds are you are feeding it all the wrong stuff. And to the person who said Pellets aren’t the right thing to feed a rabbit, you are dead wrong. Pellets are the best thing to feed them. Veggies and other stuff should be treats, not the mainstay of their diet. A general rule of them in my barn, unless it’s hay, I don’t feed anything green to my rabbits. Cabbage, lettuce, etc, have way too much water in them, which will cause diarrhea, and your rabbit will die very quickly from dehydration. And rabbits have a natural sweet tooth, which is bad for them. They’ll eat all the human candy you’ll give them, and the sugar is very bad for them. Put your rabbit back on the diet it was eating before you got him. Their digestive systems can’t take a quick change of food. It’s even recommended that you take at least a week to switch from one brand of pellets to another. Especially if your rabbit is a baby. And watch what kind of leaves your rabbit eats in your house. Wild rabbits know what leaves/plants are toxic, and domestic rabbits do not have this ability. They’ll eat anything, whether or not it’s good for them.
