How can I get a pet urine stain out of a hardwood floor?
Our puppy peed on a 3' x 5' Oriental rug without us realizing it. When we recently moved the rug, there was a very dark stain on the oak floor where the urine seeped through.

We put down Abzorb Mats and don’t worry about messes any more
Two dogs here + others come and go because we foster for the local Humane Society chapter.
Don’t know all the specs about them, but here’s where we order from:
And protect the flooring for good with Abzorb Mats (we use these in dog areas):

(you can actually get a roll and cut to size for your garage and other area. We have them all over

YOu have to sand the floor and re-stain it, basically refinish the floor.
Unfortunately urine leaves bad stains when left untreated and cleaned up. Once it has set in there is very little you can do. Sometimes if it is on a carpet you can clean and re-clean the carpet with a powerful carpet cleaner (the machines) and it usually lightens the stain. Hardwoods have to be sanded and re-stained.
Good Luck
