Design tips for a cookie- cutter beige carpet apartment?
My boyfriend and I are moving into a new apartment and the walls and carpet are both beige. We aren't allowed to change the carpet but we can change the walls- if the color is mute enough. I am really uninspired when it comes to decorating such a boring place. Any ideas? Pictures would be a great help!

This is really very easy. Start with an area rug. Choose anything that appeals to your finances and style.
For example. http://www.purecontemporary.com/modern-design/Area-Rug/barrymore-contemporary-rug/ The pull colors from the rug for your wall window and accent pieces.
So for this example..I would do the walls in a light grey clay and bring gold and black accents in. Bamboo romans would work nicely and adding a grey green or a deep rust would work as a sparse accent color.
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Mosaic-Multi-Heat-Set-Polypropylene-Rug/8110571 This would work with a light sage on the walls,,, Olive green drapes, cream sheers Then bring in the pale turquoise for accent pillows and a throw.
Go shopping find a rug…it will all fall in place!
