I’ve lived in my apartment for 16 years. The carpet is the original carpet, which was 10 years old when I moved in. This makes the carpet 26 years old! I fear rent increases. Should I offer to replace it myself?

How can I remove hardened adhesive/padding from under an old carpet?

Removing old carpet glue from ceramic tile floors?

took up the old carpet in my bathroom to reveal the ceramic tile underneath–however, after years of being glued down, there is a lot of yellowed, caked on glue. I have tried steel wool, stiff brushing, tile & grout cleaner–still can’t get all of it up.

How do I stop my 7 year old cat from peeing the carpet?

She just started this about 2 months ago. Peeing on any on my clothes left on the floor, now she pees the carpet any old place and sometimes right next to the litter box

Should I scotch guard 13 year old carpet?

For carpet that is 13 years old is it really worth using scotch guard. I have always been told on on new carpet. If used on older carpet you are just scotch guarding in the existing stains.
