can I paint my kitchen cabinets? I have stained oak, including kitchen floors and halls, Also all trim is oak.?

The Kitchen is completely open to the family room, and my style tends to run with antiques (including 100 year old persian rug) a leather couch and lots of quilts displayed everywhere. I can't go all modern, it would clash with the rest of the house and family

Or if you want to have an earhty look that would go well with the oak trimmings, just whitewash them ( You put paint on with a cheap water based paint and rub most of it off with a cloth so that the oak is barely painted - this works well with white. You finish it of with a glaze to make it washable. It works well with a rustic look

Definitely. I just did it in my house. Paint them with primer first then choose any color you want. i painted mine dark red, it was called Mayan red. It completely changed the look of my house. My friends couldn’t believe that it was only paint. i used an enamel latex satin paint, it is ultra-scrubbable.
